Quality of manufactured goods and ecological aspects of manufacturing process are managed at OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel based on the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Implementation of these standards was carried out on the basis of systematic integrated corporate quality and ecological management systems (ICQEM). The scheme spans activities carried out by the Head Office (Moscow), Polar Division (Norilsk Industrial District), Polar Transportation Division (Dudinka) and Murmansk Transportation Division (Murmansk).
ICQEM is certified with regards to production, project management, storage, delivery (includes shipping) and selling the product (nickel, copper, cobalt, precious metals, sulfur, selenium and tellurium) by an independent certification authority – Bureau Veritas Certification. Certificate of conformity is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom) and ANAB (USA).
Certificates confirming compliance of integrated corporate quality and ecological management systems of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements were originally received in 2005.
Re-certification audit was performed upon completion of the second certification period in November 2011. Bureau Veritas Certification confirmed that OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel’s management systems comply with the requirements of international standards.
